Useful information

Below I’ve noted down some information about my documentary wedding photography style, and details of what my wedding photography service includes.

Documentary wedding photographer London

What coverage do you provide?

The preparations are an important part of your wedding day story, and often something your partner won’t get to see if they're not covered by your photographer. Therefore, I normally cover from the bridal prep to at least 30 minutes after the first dance. Your booking will also include a second photographer who will take photographs of the wedding details and guests, while I focus on the wedding couple.

Why do you provide a second photographer?

Having another professional wedding photographer present on the day means we can provide better coverage of your wedding day. The second photographer will cover the groom prep even if it's held at a different location to the bridal prep. They will also focus on capturing all the details and extra photos of your guests whilst I’m focusing on the bride and groom photos. The second photographer will work in the same style and unobtrusive manner as I do.

Will you take any portraits of the wedding couple on the day?

I'll photograph the wedding couple together throughout the day – at the altar, signing the register, greeting guests, going for a walk together, and much more. I also recommend we schedule a short break at some point after the ceremony, and we can then take some natural portraits when you’re both feeling relaxed and less ‘on show’.

Will you take any group photos?

Yes, of course. I recommend limiting the number of group photos to between six and ten. Otherwise, you and your guests will spend most of the reception hanging around waiting for formal photos rather than relaxing and enjoying the day. Also, the formals tend not to be the ‘show stopper’ photos you’ll keep returning to again and again. The most treasured photos tend to be of a wonderful split second moment discreetly captured.

How many photos will we receive?

I will provide you with 400+ final, retouched digital images through your own password protected online gallery. These images are then yours to download, print and share with friends and family as much as you want.

Do you also film the wedding?

I specialise in stills photography. You can book a separate, specialist wedding videographer to work alongside me, if you’d also like your day to be filmed.

When would my final photos be ready?

I will usually supply the full set of final, retouched photos within four weeks. When possible, I will share the full set - or at least a sneak peak - sooner.

What equipment do you use?

I use professional camera equipment including two full frame Canon 5D Mark III cameras with predominantly prime lenses (I love the sharpness and quality that prime lenses deliver). I have my own public liability insurance.

What locations do you cover?

I'm based in South West London so tend to cover weddings in London and the surrounding counties including; Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Hertfordshire. However, I’m very happy to travel further afield in the UK and abroad.

What do you charge?

My fee is around £1,500 for a full day’s coverage (including the second photographer). I tailor my coverage and costs to what a couple needs. If you are interested, please let me know your plans and I’ll put together a bespoke quote for you.

Do you retouch the images?

Yes, your final photos will be supplied retouched in my signature style.
