Rosie Maxwell documentary photographer UK

Hi I’m Rosie. I love a good wedding. My own wedding was without doubt one of the best days of my life. That and the arrival of my son (who’s looking deceptively angelic above!).

When looking for a photographer for our wedding, few seemed to offer the unobtrusive, reportage style we wanted, whilst also covering the small details we’d spent ages planning. It seemed you could either have great candid shots with few details, or hundreds of formulaic, overly posed groups, portraits and details. In the end we were lucky. A close friend and great wedding photographer stepped in and captured our day brilliantly.

I try and provide a balanced approach for the couples I work with. My unobtrusive style means I capture all the key moments and details without disrupting your day. I tell your individual wedding day story through a collection of beautiful, candid wedding photos, full of real moments.

You will have put a lot of time and effort into your wedding preparations. Planning things down to the very last detail to make sure your big day is as special and memorable as you had imagined. I will make sure your carefully crafted finishing touches aren’t overlooked.

All the beautiful, natural moments and intricate details of your special day woven together by one great piece of storytelling.

I encourage my couples to schedule in a short break after the ceremony so they have five minutes to themselves to chat and relax. We then go for a walk and capture some natural, in the moment portraits.

No two weddings are the same. Your wedding day will be as wonderfully unique as you are. If you think my approach and style might be what you’re looking for in a wedding photographer, do get in touch. I’d love to hear about your wedding day plans.
